For more than a decade, I’ve worked with English learners from diverse backgrounds. Again and again, I’ve seen capable adults hold back—not because they had nothing to say, but because they feared saying it imperfectly.

My own life experiences taught me about resilience, empathy, and what it means to keep moving forward. They shaped my belief that people grow when they feel respected, supported, and capable.
